Our Mission:
The field of radiology can be overwhelming given the many specializations, career, and education options available. While there is no shortage of information about radiology education and careers on the web, we noticed that the information was often disjointed and sometimes confusing and contradictory.
The mission of Radiology-Schools.com is to provide a trustworthy and comprehensive informational "hub" for existing radiology professionals, recent graduates, and those thinking about getting started in the profession to understand the many educational and career options.
The critical components of our mission include:
- Demystify the job functions, careers, and educational options within the field of radiology.
- Provide school directories as well as commentary and feedback about colleges and universities offering radiology programs.
- Help current and prospective students understand where their unique skills, interests, personality traits, and career objectives fit into the many options within the field.
- Provide educational resources, guides, and tutorials for radiology students to utilize in conjuction with formal and cross-training programs.
- Offer insightful information that digs deeper than sources such as The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and Wikipedia by providing interviews, student profiles, and detailed accounts of procedural case studies.
- Offer a job seekers resource for radiology professionals and recent graduates.
- To collaborate across organizations within the radiology community in order to enhance and expand the resources available.
- To act as a central "hub" for prosepctive and current radiology students to understand their educational options, certification requirements and more. Visiting our radiology resource center will help to provide the context of our site.
